My focus is on providing a lovely place to stay for Slimming World candidates. While I also welcome other AirBnB guests and occasionally dates will be blocked out,  you'll only ever be staying with other friendly Slimming World folks (and me and the cats of course!)  

Yes, guests at Westwood House AirBnB have the option to enjoy a home-cooked Slimming World friendly evening meal & breakfast (£15 extra) or cater for themselves during their stay.

My name is Gemma and I've worked in the video team at Slimming World head office since 2013. During that time I've filmed lots of lovely members, Consultants and our training team as well as 100s and 100s of food videos teaching people how to cook.

I live 15 minutes away from the Slimming World Academy in South Normanton so now my family has grown and flown the nest I have lots of room to host guests. 

I hope you'll enjoy staying with me and my animals in my lovely Derbyshire home.

Our accommodation includes all the essentials, including a fully equipped kitchen, 2 large double bedrooms and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Each bedroom has bottled water, tea and coffee, hi-fi bars, hairdryer and a clothes steamer or iron available to use. 

All bedding, towels and fluffy robes are provided. The spacious shared bathroom is available exclusively for guests during their stay and has a rainfall shower and a deep bath. Complimentary toiletries are provided. Please note Westwood House uses a septic tank so please don't flush anything anti-bacterial that might harm the natural enzymes in our systems. This mostly applies to cleaning products. Most human toiletries are absolutely fine.

The kitchen is available to store and prepare your own food or your host can shop and cook breakfast and evening meal for you (extra cost applies £15 per day). Or we can let you know about some lovely local places to dine out, should you prefer.

The large sitting room is exclusively for guests and includes a smart TV with Netflix and Prime for your favourite shows. It's a lovely sunny place to relax with patio doors which open onto the front garden for a summer evening. There are plenty of books and jigsaw puzzles for guests to help you unwind.

I have three friendly house cats, Coco, Raven and William who don't go outside so you will need to be careful to keep all exterior doors closed during your stay. No matter what they might tell you! They are also not allowed in the sitting room unsupervised because they like to chew on my house plants.

There are also 3 outdoor barn cats (on mouse patrol) and 6 horses who live at Westwood House.

We are very lucky to have lots of wildlife around us too and regularly see badgers, foxes hares, bats and lots of wild birds

Each room is £55 per person per night or £75 for 2 people sharing.

Breakfast and evening meal is an extra £15

Payment is due at the time of booking by PayPal, bank transfer or I am enough of a dinosaur to still take good old fashioned cash on arrival. 

Parking is available next to the house and is monitored by 24hr CCTV. 

Please be aware, the house is rural and down a lumpy bumpy farm track. ( I have a Fiat 500 and it manages fine ) but I will send you directions and a what3words address https://what3words.com/ so you or your taxi driver can find it easily.
